Main test room contains a large woodbox (4.5 m x 4.5 m x 1.5 m), half of which is filled with dry sand, the other half filled with humid sand,figure 1. Above the box is a xy-table, controlled by a computer which also performs data collection from measurement instruments, figure 2. Communication is done with protocol RS-232, RS-422, GPIB and Ethernet.
