ITEP Co-operating Partners

What is an ITEP Co-operating Partner

The basis for Co-operating Partners in ITEP originated in the discussions leading up to the signing of the ITEP Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in July 2000. ITEP has long recognised the need to work closely with organisations and governmental offices that were actively involved in humanitarian demining, but were not eligible to become ITEP Participants. Co-operating Partners were identified as an integral part of the ITEP outreach activities.

ITEP Co-operating Partners have a solid functional orientation in an ITEP mission area, and commit to assist ITEP Participants in achieving their goals, whether individually or collectively. An ITEP Co-operating Partner:

  • demonstrates a genuine commitment to humanitarian demining
  • directs programs, activities, and facilities that compliment and reinforce ITEP's objectives, and
  • shares information within ITEP and the greater mine action community
